(BPT) - A more equitable health care system. That’s the vision of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association — whose 35 member companies provide health insurance for 1 in 3 Americans — and the catalyst for its new, multi-year National Health Equity Strategy to confront the nation’s crisis in racial health disparities. The multi-year strategy will focus on four conditions that disproportionately affect communities of color: maternal health, behavioral health, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions.
