(BPT) - Universities and colleges are trying to pick up where they left off before the pandemic lockdown, but getting students and faculty back to in-person learning requires continuous testing throughout the academic year. As new mutations of SARS-CoV-2 emerge, such as the Delta variant, and breakthrough infections occur among the vaccinated, universities are turning to adaptable testing strategies to provide proactive responses to potential outbreaks. Implementation of arrival, routine, and on-site PCR testing programs can potentially help these institutions mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
